ILM Receives Fredanthropist Award from City of Fredericksburg

In October, ILM was honored as one of Fredericksburg, Virginia’s 2019-2020 Fredanthropist partners. ILM is one of 12 organizations in the Fredericksburg area to partner with the city. According to the city, the aim of the Fredanthropist program is to assist the City Council’s priority for community building through enriched culture. This program is designed to meet the wants of the community, not the needs, bettering the lives of all who live within Fredericksburg.

This program seeks to provide Fredericksburg with events, fresh and new activities, and improved community facilities that the City’s annual budget is unable to cover on their own. These businesses are partnering with the city to make a lasting, positive impact through financial contributions.

The Fredanthropists recently partnered with the Washington Capitals to fund a roller hockey rink in the city of Fredericksburg. Three clinics were held for the opening ceremony of the rink. These clinics saw participation from over 350 children. The Dixon Park rink will serve as the only inline roller hockey rink within a 40-mile radius of Fredericksburg. Beyond the construction of the rink, all four of Fredericksburg’s public schools will receive hockey equipment and training for students to learn play hockey.
ILM is proud to support its community’s efforts to provide fresh and new activities for its residents. Fredericksburg has been a wonderful home to ILM, and ILM is dedicated to ensuring that Fredericksburg is a wonderful home to all who reside here.
